Why only proprietary inks?

Hi new to the forum here my name is Tim.
So I take it that most of you have used the speed ball inks is there anything I should know about these as far as reactions to the Yudu screens,or to put it in a simple context they do seem to wash out and do not clog etc?
And they carry these at Darmah trading?
Oh a little history on Darmah as I remember they use to be Brooks and Flynn,I use to get all my tie dye supplies from them.
Anyhow to get back to inks here are there any draw backs to using the speed ball ink?

I have speedball... love the Glo-ink.
But my main ink has been the Jacquard. It's a great consistancy.

I LOVE Dharma!!!!!!!!!!!! I purchased Monday morning... inks were on my doorstep Wednesday. Can't get better than that. ANd the dissolvable packing is a plus!!
