I dont see why not, just the screen wont lay correctly on the shirt when you pull the squeegee down toward you. I have a feeling it might appear as though the ink is bleeding. If you can do a test print and see what your result is. If its good then go ahead and print it.

Even if you laid the screen down the correct way with the emulsion on the top of the screen, wouldn't it still work? Might have to be a little more careful using the squeegee when applying the ink... I could be wrong, but curious to see what would happen either way.

Every time I apply an emulsion sheet to a screen I am so nervous about messing it up that I have to go back and read the directions so I know which side of the emulsion sheet touches the screen. :D I've messed up plenty in the past, so I feel your pain!

Thats why I use liquid emulsion. I coat both sides of my screen.

James,
You should give liquid emulsion a shot. I used speedball emulsion and a scoop coater I made from a piece of 1/16 angle I got at Home Depot (in fact I made two. One for full screen application and a smaller one for half-screen) and it went on easier than a sheet and exposed in the same amount of time (one coat on each side starting with the back side). Got a perfect screen on the first try.

Of course I watched the YouTees, CatSpitProductions, and Yudu Hack videos on YouTube before I made my first attempt; however, now I rarely use an emulsion sheet. By the way, the tip on this forum where you lay the screen on top of the emulsion sheet and then mist with water is absolutely outstanding for those times I do use a sheet.

I definitely want to go the liquid emulsion route as soon as I finish using up my emulsion sheets (still have 5 or 6 left). I've read a little about it and everyone seems to swear by it, so I'll end up doing the same thing as you- watch the videos, read tutorials, etc. because I know absolutely nothing about the stuff as it is now... and I definitely agree with you on that emulsion sheet trick- ever since I saw that in the forums I've used it and never messed up another sheet.

I'm sitting here sketching out a couple new designs right now so hopefully I come up with something print-worthy so I can use up the rest of my sheets!
