emultion film alternitive

After 4 attemps to get that dang film to work I gave up. I started looking for alternitives. I came across a youtube clip on how to hack the YUDU. This is the clip http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9LUQCsCO ... re=related, after seeing this I did more research and even made a couple of calls to local shops. They told me what was the best liquid emultions to use with the YUDU. So I research more to find the best prices and this is what to get for your YUDU. SAATIchem Grafic HU this is what the man in the clip is useing but do not buy it from him he wants way to much and you don't need his package on how to use it cause the clip already shows you how to apply it. All you need to know is how to mix the Diazo 1 into the emultion and all you do there is pour the Dazo in, mix it well , cover but not tightly and let stand thirty mins before use. Make sure you mix it in a dark or low light area. Then all you need to do is apply the mixture to screen with a scoop coated. You can use a 15 in or a 11 in. 15 in if you want to coat short way, 11in to go long way. I bought a 11in. The site I order my materials from costum made the 11in for me was only 22.00 the emultion with Diazo included was only 24.99. Better deal then on his site. You can order both from http://www.poconoscreen.com/index.html. I was able to get screen coated with no problems and printed on first attemp. No more hassles with fighting to get film on screen just right. I hope this will help someone else elminated the frustration of using the emultion films. Also way cheaper.
Good Luck

ok so disregard last post........I found the liquid......but I do have a question about the mixing..........say I buy a quart..I'm definately not going to use it all at one time...do you have to measure out the mix...or do you just mix it all at once and it stays good forever?

You have to mix it all at once. It will last up to a year if kept in a cool dry place.

I burn my image at 6:30, it really depends on the image. how thin the lines might be. I also apply 2 coats. One coat front one coat back. Hope that helps. if 8 min. didnt work maybe you can try to burn the image longer?

Coat on each side, if large image burn for 10 min. If fine line image I burn for 15 mins. Never had any issues of bad results.

I got 15 screens if not more from a little 6 oz bottle of speedball emulsion U coat only one side ussualy since the emulsion pass to the other side when aply. I only use 2 coats or thicker when using white ink. I got my new emulsin from silkscreen suplies today, Havent tryed yet. but the gay said i can get about 50 to 60 screens and I only paid 17 bucks.
